Reds suffer another injury blow

Queensland faces a huge task to beat the Hurricanes in their Super 12 crunch match in Wellington after losing skipper Elton Flatley.

Flatley was ruled out of the match at Westpac Stadium with a thumb injury which has made passing the ball a near impossibility.

He has to see a specialist upon his return to Brisbane on Monday and may face a long stint on the sidelines.

Kick-off is at 5.35pm AEST.

Before that, the table-topping ACT Brumbies take on the Crusaders in Christchurch.

The Brumbies are at full-strength while the Crusaders have lost five-eighth Andrew Mehrtens to a stomach virus.

His place has been taken by relative unknown Cameron Mcintyre.

Kick-off is at 3.30pm AEST.

The NSW Waratahs play the Blues in Auckland tomorrow.
