Quarantined Broncos want move to Sunday

Brisbane's players and staff remain in quarantine on Thursday morning with the club hoping to postpone Friday's NRL match against the Bulldogs until Sunday.

The club expects to get the results of swine flu tests on fullback Karmichael Hunt back by noon and will then have a better idea where it stands.

Brisbane chief executive Bruno Cullen says the club does not want to forfeit the two premiership points from the Bulldogs match if Hunt's test results prove positive for swine flu.

"Our advice from Queensland Health is they won't know until about lunchtime today," he said.

However, the players are not due to finish their quarantine period until 10pm on Friday night, well after the match is scheduled to kick off.

Cullen said his preferred option would be to shift Friday's match to Sunday night, which he said would be a ratings winner for Channel Nine.

"We don't want to forfeit the game. We want to play the game and we will take any option available to us to play that game," Cullen told ABC Radio.

"I had a thought that a Sunday night game would be very attractive ... I did drop that idea with the NRL yesterday or the day before.

"Channel Nine and the NRL are negotiating."

Cullen said the NRL had a number of options available and would make the final decision after consulting with health authorities.
