Kiwis getting some inside information

Melbourne's Australian Test rugby league contingent have been warned - club teammate Adam Blair is leaking their secrets to the enemy.

And New Zealand forward Blair makes no apologies for giving his Kiwi teammates some inside information on Storm stars Greg Inglis, Billy Slater, Cameron Smith and Cooper Cronk ahead of their Test match in Melbourne on Friday night.

"As soon as I step into the Kiwi camp there's no more friends out on the field," Blair said.

"It's an advantage knowing how they play.

"You can come into camps like this and give the boys a little tip on things they do.

"I'd pretty much do anything I can for the team and if that means running over one of my (Storm) teammates that's what I'm going to do."

Cronk's selection at halfback means his club-forged combination around the ruck with Smith will be vital to Australia.

The pair have been brilliant in Melbourne's two massive wins since the salary cap scandal broke.

Blair credits Melbourne's performances since they were banned from playing for premiership points in large part to the Storm players coming to terms with their penalty and vowing to enjoy their football.

"Training's way better. Everyone's joking around in the change rooms, game day everybody's relaxed," said Blair, who has been linked with a move to the New Zealand Warriors at the end of the season should the Storm be forced to break up their squad.

"They're all just talking about enjoying their footy now and having a bit of fun with it.

"We're not playing for anything any more, so we may as well play for each other and play for the people who watch us play."

Blair is confident a New Zealand side minus seven regulars and which could feature up to three debutants will be able to lift for the sellout clash on Friday night.

"As soon as they put on that jersey, the level and the energy just rises," Blair said.
