Doughty, Tambling set for Crows return

Adelaide defenders Michael Doughty and Richard Tambling are set to return from injury against Carlton on Saturday.

But teammate Scott Stevens' future remains in limbo, with the defender failing to complete training on Tuesday.

Stevens, who has suffered concussion in past seasons, missed Adelaide's loss to Port Adelaide after reporting headaches and nausea.

Medical tests failed to reveal a cause.

Stevens was expected to try and run later in the week in a bid to prove his fitness for Adelaide's away fixture with Carlton.

Doughty, who has been sidelined since suffering a corked hamstring in round one, and Tambling, absent last start with an ankle injury, both completed training on Tuesday.

But defender Luke Thompson, who made his AFL debut in the loss to the Power, did not train because of an ankle injury.

"It was a weird one because I didn't roll my ankle or do anything like that," Thompson said on Tuesday.

"I had scans yesterday and they were all clear."

Thompson, who said his ankle "locked up" during his debut, will attempt to train on Wednesday.

"I'm not going to go into the game second-guessing whether my ankle is going to be right or not," he said.

"It's definitely going to be right if I am to play.

"I won't be taking any chances."
