The West Sydney Razorbacks ended a two-game losing streak to remain on track for a top-four National Basketball League finish after upsetting the Sydney Kings 97-87 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.

The Kings, still without a replacement for injured guard Jason Smith (knee), led 55-54 at halftime but were overrun by their cross-town rivals after the long break.

Pigs captain Sam Mackinnon had 23 points to lead all scorers, backed up by John Rillie (19 points) and Simon Dwight (16).

Kings import Ebi Ere worked tirelessly in Smith's absence with 12 points and eight rebounds and Matt Nielsen added 18 points and 10 boards, but West Sydney had all the answers.

Sydney (12-3) now possess the league's equal best record, along with Wollongong, while the Pigs improve to 9-7.
