Tasmania will be hoping for quick wickets to curb Queensland's first innings tally on day two of the Pura Cup cricket clash at Bellerive Oval.

The Bulls finished the opening day on 6-289, with a third-wicket partnership between fringe Test batsman Martin Love (100) and veteran Stuart Law (99) yielding 190 runs.

The Tigers found the going tough before clawing their way back in the final session to capture 4-31.

Paceman Damien Wright spearheaded the revival, finishing the day with figures of 3-65 off 22 overs.

At stumps Bulls wicket-keeper Wade Seccombe was unbeaten on 11, with Ashley Noffke not out 19.
