The New South Wales Waratahs host the Western Force Super 14 rugby action at Sydney's Aussie Stadium on Friday night.

The 11th-placed Waratahs, playing at home for the first time this season, are in desperate need of victory over the seventh-placed Force.

In the other matches on Friday night, the front-running Blues entertain the Highlanders in Auckland before the Cheetahs and the Chiefs clash in the early hours of Saturday morning in South Africa.

Saturday night, the Brumbies play the Bulls in Canberra and the Queensland Reds are home to the Lions.
