Former Newcastle Knights prop Ben Cross will miss Leeds' home Super League game against Salford on Friday after being handed a one-match match suspension.

Cross, an off-season signing from the NRL, was found guilty of a late and high tackle on Warrington halfback Richard Myler during his side's 40-24 defeat at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Saturday.

The 32-year-old Australian was also fined by the Rugby Football League's disciplinary committee.

Harlequins centre David Howell will sit out his side's trip to St Helens on Friday after being handed a one-match ban for a dangerous tackle on Huddersfield centre Leroy Cudjoe during last Friday's 18-10 home defeat by the Giants.
