Perth veteran Ricky Grace has announced that he will end his glittering National Basketball League career at the end of the season.

The Wildcats veteran, who first started his NBL career in Perth in 1990, is one of the NBL's most durable players, having recently joined the elite 400-game club.

Grace represented Australia in the 2000 Olympics and was the MVP in the 1990 and 1993 grand finals.

One of the finest guards ever to play in the league, he was selected in the All-NBL First Team in 1991, 2001, 2002 and 2003.

Grace recently lost his father and father-in-law in the space of only a few days, and has been battling to regain top form after recently returning from knee surgery.

The Wildcats still have a chance of qualifying for a home-court play-off appearance, giving Grace a shot at another NBL title.
