Sharks players found not guilty

Sharks players Keegan Daniel and Jannie du Plessis have been found not guilty at a SANZAR disciplinary hearing on Thursday.

The Sharks duo were cited during last weekend's Super 14 loss to the Crusaders.

Sharks flanker Daniel was cited for a dangerous tackle on Crusaders centre Tim Bateman and was penalised at the time. Judicial officer Dekker Govender decided no further action was required.

Tighthead prop du Plessis was charged with striking Crusaders captain Richie McCaw, but Govender decided that since the referee did not think it merited a red card, he also deemed no further action.

Both players were free to play against the Highlanders in Durban next week.
