2. Nickname(s): Makinen, Kicking-T

3. High School: T.A.S

4. What city are you living in: London

5. First Fanatics Tour: Davis Cup Q/F Malmo 2003

6. What do you do when you are not on tour:

Write ball by ball commentary for Cricinfo on the County Cricket. Here is some of my recent work:

Over 18

18.1 Ealing to Defraitas. Outside off. No run
18.2 Ealing to Defraitas Outside off. No run.
18.3 Ealing to Defraitas Outside off. No run.
18.4 Ealing to Defraitas Outside off. No run. A spectator has turned up, wait... no, it is just Ronnie Irani's mother. Seems he forgot his bat.

18.5 Ealing to Defraitas Outside off. No run.
18.6 Ealing to Defraitas Outside off. No run.

7. Favourite sporting moment while on tour with the Fanatics:

Probably witnessing the Scud live for the first time. His destruction of Bjorkman was a 'highlight'.

8. Favourite non-sporting moment while on tour with the Fanatics:

The Slaatenhause... well it was until none of the boys could close any of the locals. The Kranskies from the Chew and spew outside cost me the next day as well. Probably qualifies as a lowlight in hindsight.

9. One sporting event you haven't been to but would love to attend: The Melbourne Cup

10. Where would people find you at 3am on a regular Saturday night:

It doesn't matter....sooner or later I will find them.

11. What one word describes you:

Australian

12. Which song will always get you dancing on the bar:

Rock Your Body by Justin Trousersnake

13. Favourite drink: yes

14. Creation or evolution: Elevation

15. Coke or Pepsi: Bundaberg and coke.

16. Capitalist or Socialist:

Depends which country you are in.

17. Club or Pub: Soda or squash.

18. Which moment has the most significance in Australian sporting history, was it Cliff Young winning the Sydney to Melbourne marathon running in gumboots, Australia 2's winged keel, Pat Cash's checkered headband, the invention of the padded Torpedo bikepants for under rugby shorts, David Boons 56 tinnies on the flight to London, the collapse of
the Hobart DevilsNBL franchise, Warrick Cappers pink Ferrari & mullet haircut or something else:

These are all significant moments in Australian sports history, especially the torpedo pants worn to such devastating effect by Graham 'the penguin' Bradley.

For mine it is Campo's blind pass to Helmet Head Horan after gathering in a Lynagh kick and weaving some magic through the All Blacks in the RWC semi of 91. It would have been even better if Campo had a moustache.

19. If you could invite 5 people to share a six pack of long necks with who would they be & why:

  • The Shark- so we could use his new runabout

  • Wally Lewis- he can put the heat to the meat. The King looks like he knows his way round a bbq.

  • Pat Rafter- No explanation required.

  • Tim Henman- to be the beer wench and to cop it for being a DUD.

  • HG & Roy- to come up with more sledges on the UK #1 when I and everyone else have run out.

I realise this is 6 but I think the Shark's boat can handle it.

20. Can you give the people of Australia a tip:

Wear sunscreen.
